title image Farnes August 2006

Pictures from a (very long) dive in the Farnes accompanied - after 40 minutes of looking at kelp - by some seals.

These were quite timid, they would sneak up behind to mouth a fin but swam off if you looked at them; it took some time to get their confidence.  Not like one the next day - that started on your fins, progressed by chewing your leg and finished with your hood!
