This is a site that I have put together in the hope that something in it may be of use or interest to someone else. I've tried to keep it short and simple so that it's easy to read on-line.
I learnt to dive in 1998, following through the dream I first had some 30 odd years earlier when the minimum physical requirements needed put divers just below Superman on the fitness scale. Fortunately not only had I got a lot fitter and stronger during that period, but those minimum requirements had been relaxed a bit. Since learning I have dived in several locations, both in the UK and overseas and can report that, contrary to what you might expect, you can get some of the best diving in the world in the UK. The Isle of Man, Ireland, Scotland and Farne Islands all take some beating, and I haven't even got around to diving anywhere south of Pembrokeshire yet! I'm looking forward to trying areas like Portland, the Channel Islands, Lundy, the Scillies, Devon, and Cornwall; all the diving hot-spots of the south.
When I started this site I had not delved much into underwater photography because of 1) the expense, 2) diving with a camera can distract from the experience of being there. However I did manage to get together a few shots taken on the surface or from other divers on the same dives. Now I am beginning to add some of my own shots to these in my gallery.
Also I've put together a page of interesting links related to my diving experiences and interests.
Cheers - safe diving
